7 Self-Image Verses You Should Memorize

In a society that continually tries to tell you what and who you are, it’s important to always remind them (and yourself) differently.

I pray the verses below help you see how God sees you, who He’s made you to be – that you are loved beyond anything else in the world; that you are talented, wonderfully made, and most importantly, called.

What verses do you cling to when the world tries to tarnish your self-image? Share in the comments below!

You are sanctified (declared as holy) through Jesus

John 17:17 : Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.

You are able and capable through Christ

Philippians 4:13 : I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.

You are a conqueror

Romans 8:37 : In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

You are wonderful

Psalm 139:14 : I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

You are God’s GOOD work

Philippians 1:6 : Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

You are an inheritor of God’s kingdom through Jesus Christ

Luke 12:32 : Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

You have a spirit of power, love and self-discipline

2 Timothy 1:7 : For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

God takes every day people and does extraordinary things through them

1 Corinthians 1:27-30 : But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. he chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
